Basics for Beginners Electric Bass
The bass is similar to the electric guitar, but has a larger body, a longer neck, but thicker and less strings. There are usually four, sometimes five or six strings, tuned an octave lower. The body is usually maple or rosewood.
The bass is used in many styles of music like rock, metal, pop, country, blues and jazz. You can solo in jazz, fusion, Latin, funk and some rock and heavy metal. It is the foundation of the music.
