If someone wants to learn to play an instruments its always a good thing. I would recommend everyone to play some sort of musical instrument as it will keep you busy and also help you from boredom. Music is loved by almost everyone around the World, and it also brings peace in mind. Once upon a time in UK learning to play a piano was like a regular thing in every household. Nowadays people tend to play Guitars and drums more than pianos. When it comes to learning to play the piano, it is all about the scales. Well that is what my mate says. You need to learn both minor and major scales. There are 8 keys to learn from, c major, d major, f sharp and others. Keys are the important part when learning to play the piano, so before you learn about the scales make sure you learn the keys. Basic is to learn one key and then when you are perfect at it move on to another key.
Other basic stuff is to press the keys gently. When I was learning my tutor always use to tell me that imagine there is a hamster which you trying to climb your fingers over to play the piano, so that it looks like you are crawling. That is a very good point to be honest because most people tend to forget that and anxiety of hitting the correct notes can cause stiffness in your fingers. That will only make the task more difficult. If you can relax in front of the piano your lesson will be nice and relaxing and you will get through a lot of things.
